Role Purpose
To inspect, quality check and pack products to required specification.
Support Technicians and Operators in ensuring the machinery is run efficiently complying with all operating and quality standards and ensure the production standards for health and safety, and hygiene are followed.
You are aware of your responsibilities and will execute your duties in line with all company systems and procedures in place to support product safety, legality, integrity and quality, including systems for escalating issues to a designated manager where immediate action is required.
- Key Accountabilities
- Pack products to specification, print labels, assemble packaging, prepare and pack pallets and book out finished goods
- Inspect products for visual defects
- Ensure action if the machine stops or stalls, escalating to Technician or manager as required
- Routinely carry out quality checks to ensure that products meet pre-defined specifications
- Maintain accurate quality and production records and log details onto Faerch QMS
- Ensure the retrieval and restocking of consumables and materials to continue production
- Report any machinery or equipment in need of repairs
- Sort and repackage product in line with product specifications when required
- Keep plastic properly separated – no mixed plastics of different colour or paper/absorbent pads when granulating
- Participate in new and ongoing continuous improvement activities, active involvement
- Regularly complete designated training and procedure updates
- Comply with all current Health & Safety policies and procedures
- Maintain hygiene and housekeeping standards in the work area and around machines when they are down
- Adopt working practices to comply with Company and general health and safety requirements
- Communicate with team leaders and all other personnel as required.
- Any other duties as requested by the Shift Manager/Leader or other Managers that are appropriate for your job role.
4 on 4 off 12 hour rotating continental shifts (0600 - 1800/1800 - 0600).
