Leading independent label and artist management company is looking for an experienced senior marketing manager to develop, implement and coordinate creative and effective global marketing campaigns and strategic release planning initiatives for a diverse roster of emerging and developing artists. This role is based out of our London office.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop & implement innovative and impactful, fully integrated strategic marketing campaigns, content plans and digital rollouts for a diverse roster of developing label & management artists.
- Prepare, oversee and execute release plans, set campaign targets and objectives, and build out digital marketing, advertising and social media strategies across various formats of independent artist releases.
- Have a unique vision for high-quality content production & asset creation, and a “digital first” approach to campaign planning, reacting and capitalizing quickly and efficiently on real-time opportunities.
- Oversee the delivery and rollout of all campaign deliverables, strategically implementing and adhering to deadlines, alongside internal label team and distribution partner.
- Forecast & analyze; monitor a project release from inception, implementation, release and post release, staying consistently focused on maximizing audience engagement and growth throughout projects release cycle.
- Closely monitor and track artist project performance on all DSPs & social media platforms throughout the lifecycle of a release, consistently working to build awareness, grow audiences and fan engagement.
- Build collaborative relationships with artists, internal team & partners; communicative effectively, consistently and respectfully.
- Build, manage & engage 3rd party relationships with independent press, tv, radio, paid media advertising, digital agencies and sync agents.
- Prepare weekly project updates & reporting with key performance stats, milestones and targets; manage & maintain database of artist one sheets, decks, visuals and marketing assets.
- Manage, maintain & closely monitor all active project marketing campaign budgets.
- Oversee setup of artist merchandise orders and physical product distribution with relevant 3rd parties.
- Attend and support across local artist shows & events.
Who You Are
- 3+ years’ experience as a marketing manager at a record label, distributor, entertainment brand, social agency or artist management company working across music & frontline artist projects essential.
- A success-driven and organized multitasker who can prioritize effectively, manage multiple active release campaigns simultaneously, who is motivated by long-term vision and strategic development.
- Experience, confidence & an emotional intelligence in working directly with artists.
- Fluent in data and a deep knowledge of audiences, the DSP landscape, and hands on experience in creating and marketing across all social media platforms.
- Knowledge & experience in music marketing techniques such as influencer/digital creator campaigns, fan communities, YouTube and content seeding.
- Understanding of DSP & social media platform specific best practices, trends and formats.
- An effective communicator with proven experience conveying & executing creative ideas & plans to artists, and internal and external collaborators.
- Digitally savvy; can identify and translate winning insights and is quick to adopt new trends.
- Stellar & strong relationships across the industry and an ability to build & maintain new ones.
- A diligent self-starter who can lead with initiative, but prefers teamwork and collaboration.
- Great knowledge for and interest in the UK & Global music market, and an ever-shifting cultural and digital landscape.
- A positive energy with a passion for independent music, developing artists across all genres with a teamwork & team-forward approach.
