FactSet's Trading Sales group is hiring an experienced Senior Sales Engineer/Solutions Specialist to join our expanding sales team. You’ll drive sales of our trading solutions to sophisticated clients, including asset managers, wealth managers, and hedge funds, and expand existing accounts while pursuing new logos. As part of an experienced team of SMEs, you will work with the sales team to effectively deliver the trading solutions’ value proposition to clients.
The Senior Sales Engineer/Solutions Specialist will drive revenue growth of the trading business by engaging in all phases of the sales cycle. Your focus will include selling trading, execution, compliance and IBOR systems and owning the ongoing technical relationship throughout the customer lifecycle. You will serve as a trusted technical advisor responsible for managing, retaining, and growing our trading products for our clients. Specific responsibilities include:
- Working with trading sales and general sales teams to qualify leads as they arise
- Leading tailored, detailed demos and fielding client questions
- Executing efficient POCs
- Developing an understanding of all areas of FactSet’s solutions and collaborating with internal teams to deliver an integrated view of the overall offering
- Providing guidance on workflow implementation and revenue retention efforts
- Effectively delivering trading solutions’ value proposition to clients
- Maintaining a high level of sales activity and tracking efforts in Salesforce; assisting in maintaining an accurate and dynamic pipeline
- Building awareness of FactSet’s Trading Solutions through collaboration with general sales, consulting services, sales enablement, product marketing, etc.
- Facilitating feedback with product/engineering to guide the roadmap for FactSet’s Front Office Solutions
- Building strong rapport with front-office users at clients/prospects and representing FactSet in consultative engagements
- Developing an understanding of the competitive landscape and positioning FactSet Trading Solutions’ differentiation and value
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study
- At least 7 years of experience with trading-related systems and services
- Analytical depth in trading-related systems to provide SME-level support to client engagements and a desire to sell a comprehensive trading solution
- Entrepreneurial mindset for learning the FactSet LiquidityBook Trading suite and addressing client questions
- Strong drive for results in a competitive sales landscape
- Thorough understanding of clients’ businesses, the financial markets, and how FactSet fits into that picture
- Relationship-building skills and ability to build rapport with clients and prospects
- Comfortable leading meetings/demos with executive presence, virtual or in-person
- Ability to navigate complex discovery conversations to map client value drivers to Front Office solutions
- Ability to coordinate tailored POCs for clients
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry conferences
