Our teams are focusing on Industry Classification collection and distribution: IC is a complex set of acquired and derived datasets that enrich FactSet products and act as a backbone to our client offering. The challenge, scope, and versatility of this data is an adventure on its own.
Join the Revere team and contribute to the building of our acquisition and publishing pipelines consisting of automated and human-assisted collection tools as well as to the APIs and federation layers that drive FactSet growth through innovation.
FactSet engineers demonstrate the ability to criticize code and production for improvement, as well as to receive and apply feedback effectively to develop expertise on our products.
Focus is on creating new software that helps increase the volume of collected data with consistent quality, stability, and adherence to best practices. This will allow the engineer to gain mastery of the products to which one is contributing and begin to participate in forward design discussions for how to improve based on one’s observations of the code, systems, and production involved.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of data structures and algorithms, object-oriented programming, and software engineering principles.
- Ensure that deployed products are properly maintained throughout their lifecycle and participate in on-call responsibilities.
- Participate in design and code reviews of multiple projects across teams.
- Be a quick learner and open to learning new things.
- Make strong technical contributions to projects within the team with a focus on new enhancements, stability, and performance.
- Be self-driven, collaborating directly with the team lead and responsible for independent project execution.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Engineering degree required.
- Strong technical, analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Java (3 years+).
- Database and SQL hands-on experience (PG/MSSQL/Oracle) (1 year+).
- Cloud native development experience (GC/Azure/AWS) (1 year+).
- Experience with microservices design and infrastructure.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience or knowledge of CI/CD concepts and GitHub, Jenkins.
- Knowledge of IaC tools and their deployment methodologies.
- Experience in automating application deployments – Ansible, Terraform.
