The Opportunity:
If you’re looking to launch a career in accounting and finance, a bookkeeping apprenticeship is a fantastic first step! This role combines on-the-job training with formal qualifications, allowing you to gain valuable practical experience while earning.
As a Bookkeeping Apprentice, you’ll play a supportive role within a finance team, assisting with a variety of tasks to ensure accurate and up-to-date financial records for our clients.
- Data Entry: Processing invoices, receipts, and other financial transactions.
- Bank Reconciliation: Matching bank statements with company records.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage payments owed and collect payments.
- Software & Spreadsheets: Utilising accounting software (e.g., Xero) and spreadsheets for data analysis.
- Basic Reports & VAT: Assisting with preparing reports and potentially with VAT returns.
About you:
No prior bookkeeping experience is required. Apprenticeships are designed for individuals with a strong interest in finance and a knack for detail and accuracy. You’ll be supported by experienced colleagues and work towards a recognised qualification which is the AAT, accounting technicians qualification. You will get time off for studying and your exams. Your courses and exam fees are fully paid for.
