Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Commercial Events team, liaising with clients, production partners and agencies to fully advance events, collating all relevant information and documents such as production schedules, plans, rigging plots, and staffing requirements.
  • Distribute information to the in-house Technical Team and Event Managers.
  • Collaborate with internal Factory International departments, external suppliers, and clients to ensure consistent and high-quality levels of service, developing and fostering relationships for repeat business.
  • Work closely with Event Managers to ensure successful delivery of each event, communicating costs, schedule, and staffing updates accurately and on time.
  • Act as the venue representative on production days, load-ins, and event days, leading teams and overseeing production-related work.
  • Examine the booking diary with the Commercial Event and Scheduling Teams to ensure proposed events fit within the wider organisation's schedule and contribute to planning and delivery of venue format changes.
  • Undertake professional and timely communications with partners, taking concise and accurate briefs and offering creative and technical input.
  • Monitor and forecast event budgets, ensuring events are delivered to requirements and within allocated budget.
  • Sell Technical services to incoming clients.
  • Identify and address potential variances and opportunities promptly, escalating issues or concerns as appropriate.
  • Establish production schedules for projects and communicate content effectively to relevant parties within an agreed timeframe.
  • Attend all meetings, site visits, installation, and de-installation, overseeing show maintenance where appropriate.
  • Establish good working relationships with key departments within Factory International.
  • Ensure all production elements are delivered to the highest Health and Safety standards and within current legislation, creating risk assessments, method statements, and floor plans as required.
  • Work on other productions and events as required by the Senior Production Manager (Commercial).

Person Specification

  • Extensive experience in production management in a commercial or corporate events setting.
  • Experience in one or more artforms, e.g. Theatre, Large Scale Visual Arts, Immersive Productions, will also be considered.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of technical production (lighting, sound, video, rigging, set construction, wardrobe, etc.) or relevant and proven knowledge from equivalent fields.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills with proven experience of communicating technical requirements to production colleagues and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience developing and working to budgets.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation skills with an understanding of the needs of delivering live events for third-party partners.
  • Experience of working with and leading teams, remaining calm under pressure.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.
