We are working with a private equity‑owned facilities management business to appoint a high‑calibre Managing Director to lead the next phase of growth, value creation and eventual exit.

This is a top‑table leadership role with full P&L responsibility, board exposure, and genuine influence over strategy, structure and scale.

The Opportunity

The business is well‑established with a strong client base and a clear PE growth plan. The incoming MD will take ownership of day‑to‑day leadership while partnering closely with the PE investors to:

  • Drive profitable growth (organic and acquisitive)
  • Professionalise operations and leadership capability
  • Strengthen commercial discipline and contract performance
  • Prepare the business for a successful medium‑term exit

Key Responsibilities

  • Full P&L ownership and accountability
  • Lead and develop the senior leadership team
  • Execute growth strategy aligned to PE value‑creation plan
  • Improve operational efficiency, margins and scalability
  • Manage key client and stakeholder relationships
  • Work closely with the board and investors on reporting, governance and strategy

Experience Required

  • Senior leadership experience within Facilities Management (hard, soft or integrated FM)
  • Proven track record at MD / CEO / Divisional Director level
  • Strong commercial and operational background
  • Experience working in a private equity–backed environment (highly desirable)
  • Comfortable with pace, scrutiny and performance‑driven cultures
  • Credible with boards, investors, clients and internal teams

Package

  • Base salary up to ÂŁ250,000
