We are working with a private equity–owned facilities management business to appoint a high-calibre Managing Director to lead the next phase of growth, value creation and eventual exit. This is a top-table leadership role with full P&L responsibility, board exposure, and genuine influence over strategy, structure and scale.
The Opportunity
The business is well-established with a strong client base and a clear PE growth plan. The incoming MD will take ownership of day-to-day leadership while partnering closely with the PE investors to:
- Drive profitable growth (organic and acquisitive)
- Professionalise operations and leadership capability
- Strengthen commercial discipline and contract performance
- Prepare the business for a successful medium-term exit
Key Responsibilities
- Full P&L ownership and accountability
- Lead and develop the senior leadership team
- Execute growth strategy aligned to PE value-creation plan
- Improve operational efficiency, margins and scalability
- Manage key client and stakeholder relationships
- Work closely with the board and investors on reporting, governance and strategy
Experience Required
- Senior leadership experience within Facilities Management (hard, soft or integrated FM)
- Proven track record at MD / CEO / Divisional Director level
- Strong commercial and operational background
- Experience working in a private equity–backed environment (highly desirable)
- Comfortable with pace, scrutiny and performance-driven cultures
- Credible with boards, investors, clients and internal teams
Package
- Base salary up to £250,000
- Annual bonus
