Company Description: FPC Global are the world's leading digital building experts, offering full-service integrated technology consultancy and professional services to the built environment. We partner with some of the largest organisations globally, supporting our clients to improve asset performance and security, operational efficiency, sustainability outcomes, and digital maturity across complex portfolios.
As Lead OT Cybersecurity Solutions Architect, you are FPC Digital’s global technical authority, blending strategy with hands-on delivery in a high-profile hybrid role, reporting into the Managing Director with a dotted line into the CTO (Matrix Structure). In an era where intelligent buildings and data centres lack traditional "air-gaps," you will design resilient, secure-by-design architectures. Your mission includes defining next-gen OT security services and executing the strategy for our Centre of Excellence (CoE) based OT SOC.
Operating across consulting and delivery, you will embed cybersecurity into foundational BMS and Smart Building processes from design through operations. Integrated into the global Technology & Innovation function, you will lead the Cybersecurity SteerCo within the Technical Design Authority (TDA). Reporting technically to the CTO, you ensure field insights directly shape global standards, partner strategies, and innovation. Though technically focused with no direct reports, you are central to FPC’s people strategy, mentoring a specialised OT Cybersecurity team. You will also enhance auditing benchmarks and provide technical governance across all global deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Design, Smart Building Integration & Delivery: Define, design and execute end-to-end technical security architectures for complex OT, BMS (Building Management Systems), and IoT ecosystems across global Corporate Real Estate and Hyperscale Data Centres.
- BMS & Smart Building Design Lens: Embed a robust cybersecurity perspective into the physical and logical design of Building Management Systems and Smart Building infrastructure, championing security as a primary design criterion.
- Cross-Functional Synergy: Collaborate across all consulting and delivery facets of FPC Digital, aligning strategic advice with practical field engineering and commissioning.
- Standards Enforcement: Champion the application of global security standards, such as IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82, and CIS Controls, translating theoretical compliance into practical, robust engineering implementations.
- Zero Trust & Segmentation: Design and deploy modern network micro-segmentation, identity and access management (IAM), and zero-trust policies tailored specifically for fragile, legacy, and modern OT systems.
Technical Design Authority (TDA) & Innovation Leadership
- Vertical Ownership: Lead the dedicated Cybersecurity SteerCo within FPC’s Technical Design Authority (TDA), serving as the principal expert voice and collaborating directly with the CTO's office on cybersecurity aspects in respect of global technical direction.
- Cybersecurity SteerCo Chair: Chair and lead the Cybersecurity SteerCo, coordinating with Subject Matter Experts across multiple engineering, software, and operational facets to lead on cybersecurity matters.
- Lab Environment - Agnostic Sandbox Curation: Curate, test, and evaluate emerging next-generation security tools within FPC’s Digital Lab environment.
- Expert-Driven Business Value: Ensure that our hands-on subject matter experts are the primary catalysts driving our business innovation.
Auditing, Benchmarking & Technical Governance
- Leveling Up the Auditing Standard: Build upon FPC's highly successful track record of over 500 completed building audits to elevate our existing methodologies into a specialized, next-generation OT cybersecurity evaluation standard.
- Lighthouse Audits & Framework Verification: Personally lead high-complexity "Lighthouse" audits at flagship client sites to establish and validate FPC’s newly elevated OT security frameworks.
- Auditing Enablement & Handover: Establish repeatable frameworks and playbook-driven auditing packages.
- Ongoing Governance & Oversight: Provide technical governance and rigorous quality oversight of all OT cybersecurity deliverables produced by the delivery teams globally.
Service Definition, Frameworks & OT SOC Playbook Development
- Standardised Frameworks & Policies: Lead the development and engineering of comprehensive OT cybersecurity frameworks, operational policies, and threat mitigation guidelines.
- OT SOC Integration & Playbook Design: Own the technical design, setup parameters, and operational playbooks for FPC's pioneering OT Security Operations Centre (OT SOC).
- Collaborative Scaling & Delivery: Partner directly with FPC’s Global Head of Engineering and Global Head of Operations to co-author, test, and implement operational workflows.
- SLA Alignment: Architect the technical components of the services to support the delivery of enterprise-grade Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Service Lifecycle & Portfolio Evolution: Create, define, and launch standardized global OT Cybersecurity service offerings.
Thought Leadership, Market Education & Partner Ecosystem
- Thought Leadership & Client Engagement: Act as FPC's foremost industry-facing expert in the Cybersecurity domain.
- Strategic Partner Ecosystem & Co-Innovation: Lead the identification, evaluation, and selection of next-generation cybersecurity partners.
