I am currently recruiting on behalf of one of the UK leading facilities maintenance providers who are seeking an experienced Electrical Shift Engineer to join their dynamic team working within the building service maintenance field in the Vauxhall area of London. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out general Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks and reactive duties across all HVAC and building services plant. The shifts are 07:00 - 19:00 and 19:00 - 07:00.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting general PPM tasks to ensure the continuous operation of all building services plant.
- Carrying out reactive duties as required to address any issues and ensure minimal downtime.
- Fault-finding and diagnosing electrical and mechanical problems, and implementing effective solutions.
- Hands on maintenance of AHU's, FCU's, lighting systems, VAV's, condensers, compressors, motors etc.
- Liaising with other engineers and the wider facilities management team to ensure coordinated and efficient service delivery.
- Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Emergency light testing.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Fully qualified to either City and Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualified.
- Proven experience working within the building service maintenance field, with a focus on HVAC and building services plant.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and components.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
