A leading provider of fire compliant services across the UK is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to join their team. With over 30 years’ experience delivering third-party accredited passive fire protection solutions, the business is well established within this specialist sector. This is an excellent opportunity for a Contract Manager with fire door experience to take ownership of contracts, client relationships, and project delivery.

The Contract Manager will be responsible for ensuring works are delivered efficiently, safely, and in line with current regulations, while also supporting business growth through client engagement and tendering.

Key Responsibilities of the Contract Manager:
  • Meet with new and prospective clients to promote services and secure new work
  • Price tender enquiries and support bid submissions
  • Attend pre-start meetings and coordinate project mobilisation
  • Carry out site surveys, measurements, and condition checks for fire doors
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements
  • Procure materials, plant, and manage suitably qualified labour
  • Ensure full compliance with health and safety procedures
  • Deliver full project and contract management across multiple sites
  • Monitor performance and implement improvements in line with best practice and legislation
  • Oversee quality control of all fire door installations
  • Authorise payments to suppliers and subcontractors
Experience Required:
  • Strong fire door experience (essential)
  • Previous management or contract management experience (essential)
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Skills and Attributes:
  • Professional and confident when dealing with clients
  • Strong technical knowledge of fire door products and installation standards
  • Ability to use and monitor project/recording software (Boris experience desirable)
  • Organised with strong attention to process and compliance
  • Experience delivering a high level of customer service
Qualifications:
  • Relevant Management CSCS Card
  • SSSTS or SMSTS
