We are seeking a skilled and dedicated multi skilled engineer with Automatic Door Engineering experience to join our client's team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of automatic door systems in various commercial settings across the UK, which can also include manual door and framework. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and customer service skills, ensuring that all door systems operate efficiently and meet safety standards.
Framework experience beneficial but training can be provided. Work van and uniform provided. Work fuel card provided. Work credit card provided. 20 days holiday plus Bank Holidays.
Duties- Install automatic door systems according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks and repairs on existing automatic doors to ensure optimal functionality.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with automatic door mechanisms, providing effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions for their automatic door requirements.
- Maintenance duties may also include PPM and PAT Testing for which training can be provided.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations while working on-site, ensuring a safe environment for both clients and colleagues.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in automatic door technology to enhance service delivery.
- Proven experience as an Automatic Door Engineer.
- Strong technical knowledge of automatic door systems, including sliding and swinging doors.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively.
- Good communication skills to interact with clients and team members professionally.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A valid driving licence for travel to various job sites.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to installation and maintenance work is advantageous.
