Job Description:

HGV Mechanic

Salary: Base Salary of £45k PA with OTE earnings of £60k per annum, plus a competitive benefits package.

Location: Longcross, Surrey

Hours: 45 hours per week (including paid breaks), with an on-call rota.

An exciting opportunity to join an expanding company listed on the London Stock Market.

Facilities by ADF plc provides serviced vehicle hire for television and film productions across the UK and Europe, specializing in on-location support for dramas and major features. The company has significant growth plans due to the expanding Film and TV industry and recent acquisitions.

Main Duties:

• Vehicle inspections to DVSA and FTA standards
• Fault finding, repairs, and servicing of commercial vehicles and trailers
• MOT preparation to DVSA standards
• Vehicle servicing to manufacturer standards
• Completion of all relevant paperwork to ensure compliance
• Use of diagnostic equipment

Essential Requirements:

• At least 2 years\’ experience as a qualified HGV Mechanic
• Time-served mechanic or holder of City & Guilds 1, 2 & 3 Certificates or equivalent, with technical experience in HGV and trailer servicing and repairs
• IT literacy
• Strong communication skills
• Basic computer and fleet diagnostics knowledge
• Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workloads
• Ability to work autonomously
• Legal right to work in the UK

Desirable:

• HGV Class 1 license
• IRTEC registration
• Knowledge of R2C Fleet Maintenance system or similar
