The Role
As a Mechanical Shift Engineer, you'll be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs while ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all mechanical and electrical building services.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems.
- Operate, monitor and maintain BMS and HVAC systems.
- Maintain chilled water circuits and chilled beam systems.
- Perform electrical testing and inspections where required.
- Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety legislation, including COSHH and Risk Assessments.
- Follow CDM procedures and site-specific safe systems of work.
- Respond to emergency situations and support critical site operations.
- Deliver excellent customer service while building strong relationships with site stakeholders.
About You
We're looking for someone with experience in:
- Building Management Systems (BMS).
- HVAC systems.
- Chilled water circuits and chilled beams.
- Electrical testing and inspection.
- CDM regulations and Health & Safety procedures.
- Emergency response procedures.
- Water Hygiene (L8).
Desirable Qualifications
- IOSH or NEBOSH.
- Authorised Person certification (AP15/AP12 or equivalent).
- Relevant Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualifications.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
