We're recruiting on behalf of a leading facilities management provider for an Emergency Lighting Technician to work across prestigious commercial sites in Birmingham.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established team in a permanent, day-shift role with no on-call requirement and plenty of overtime available.
The Role
As an Emergency Lighting Technician, you'll be responsible for maintaining, testing and replacing emergency lighting systems, ensuring compliance with current legislation and delivering a high standard of service.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine testing and inspection of emergency lighting systems.
- Replace and upgrade emergency lighting where required.
- Diagnose and rectify faults efficiently.
- Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works.
- Ensure all work complies with current regulations and Health & Safety standards.
- Accurately complete maintenance records and reports.
- Build positive working relationships with colleagues and site stakeholders.
About You
You'll ideally have
- Previous experience working with emergency lighting systems.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (essential).
- Experience carrying out maintenance, testing and lighting replacements.
- Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- A strong understanding of Health & Safety procedures.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Full UK driving licence (desirable).
