Meta is seeking Research Scientists to join the a research team team within Meta Reality Labs, Our team is developing advanced technology at the intersection of computer vision and generative AI. We're working on an initiative to bring photorealistic, real-time holographic communication to AR/VR glasses. Imagine seamless, lifelike presence in mixed reality, transforming how people connect across distances. Beyond Hologram, we're advancing Family of Apps (FoA) applications, including auto-translation with realistic lipsync on Instagram, enabling creators to reach global audiences authentically.You will have the opportunity to work with a broad and highly interdisciplinary team of scientists, engineers, and cross-functional partners, with access to cutting-edge technology, important resources, and research facilities.Research Scientist Responsibilities:Conduct research that extends foundation models through model fine-tuningWork towards long-term ambitious research goals, while identifying intermediate milestonesInfluence progress of relevant research communities by producing publicationsContribute research that can be applied to Meta product developmentLead and collaborate on research projects within a globally based teamMinimum Qualifications:First-author publications at peer-reviewed AI/CV conferences (e.g. NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV)Experience in computer vision and/or generative models (e.g., diffusion models, DiT for video generation)Experience in training, fine-tuning, and/or experimenting with foundation models beyond black-box useFamiliarity with one or more deep learning frameworks (e.g. PyTorch, TensorFlow)Experience communicating complex research to public audiences of peersPreferred Qualifications:Experience working and communicating cross functionally in a team environmentExperience in developing and debugging beyond ML experimentationExperience in working in an industry research environmentExperience solving complex problems and comparing alternative solutions, tradeoffs, and broad points of view to determine a path forwardHigh-impact publications at peer-reviewed AI/CV conferences (e.g. NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV), as witnessed by citations and other signs of influencing the research communityExperience with video generation, neural rendering, or 3D reconstructionAbout Meta:Meta builds technologies that help people connect, find communities, and grow businesses.
