Facades Talent Group are working with an established and growing façades contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced QA Manager to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a QA professional with experience within façades, cladding, building envelope or the wider construction sector.
The contractor delivers a range of projects including new build, refurbishment, remedial works and re-cladding, covering all aspects of the external building envelope.
The Role
As QA Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing quality assurance and quality control across a portfolio of façade projects, ensuring works are delivered in accordance with project specifications, drawings, relevant standards and client requirements.
You will work closely with project managers, contracts managers, site teams, designers, subcontractors and clients to maintain high standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include
- Managing QA and QC processes across façade projects.
- Developing and maintaining project quality plans and inspection procedures.
- Carrying out site inspections and quality audits.
- Ensuring works comply with drawings, specifications and approved details.
- Managing inspection and test plans, quality records and documentation.
- Identifying defects and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
- Working closely with site and project teams to resolve quality issues.
- Liaising with clients, consultants and subcontractors on quality matters.
- Monitoring subcontractor and supply chain quality performance.
- Supporting project teams with technical and compliance requirements.
- Ensuring appropriate records are maintained throughout the project.
- Supporting continuous improvement across the company's QA processes.
About You
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a QA or Quality Management position within façades, cladding, building envelope or a related construction environment.
Experience across systems such as rainscreen, curtain walling, SFS, render, EWI, insulation and re-cladding would be highly advantageous.
You will have strong attention to detail and a thorough understanding of construction quality processes, with the ability to communicate effectively with site teams, clients and subcontractors.
Relevant qualifications such as CSWIP, CQI, ISO or construction-related quality qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential.
