Duties and tasks related to the Duty Engineer role include:
- Being responsible for carrying out any required engineering or maintenance tasks.
- Performing repairs and maintenance in guest bedrooms, public and back of house areas, ensuring they are maintained to a high level and exceed guest expectations.
- Conducting general repairs and maintenance including electrical, mechanical, air-conditioning, fire protection, carpentry, and plumbing, ensuring that all tasks are completed on schedule and compliant with required standards and safety regulations.
- Completing planned preventive maintenance within the plant rooms, bedrooms and public areas.
- Regularly inspect the entire building with particular attention to safety features and to monitor the condition of all operating equipment.
- Working closely with the security department in overseeing Health & Safety.
About You:
You should have a strong understanding of general maintenance and engineering tasks in a hotel and be able to work both independently and as part of a team. A qualification in specialised areas such as Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing is beneficial. As you will have regular interaction with our guests, excellent communication skills are essential. Proficient knowledge of IT systems and troubleshooting IT issues is desirable.
