BMS Design Engineer - Data Centre Projects (Remote)

We are seeking an experienced BMS Design Engineer to join a growing projects team, supporting the delivery of high-profile data centre, commercial, and critical infrastructure projects across the UK.

This is an excellent opportunity for a design-focused BMS professional who wants to work on technically challenging projects, taking ownership of design packages from concept through to commissioning support.

You will play a key role in developing accurate, practical BMS solutions that enable successful installation, integration, and handover.

The role is predominantly remote, with occasional site visits required for surveys, technical reviews, and commissioning support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce detailed BMS design documentation including points lists, control strategies, network architecture, schematics, and commissioning handover packs.
  • Review and develop designs for large-scale projects, including data centres, commercial buildings, healthcare, and specialist environments.
  • Work closely with consultants, OEMs, project managers, panel manufacturers, software engineers, and commissioning teams.
  • Interpret technical specifications, mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and control philosophies.
  • Support design changes, technical queries, and commissioning requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
