Job Title: UAV Prototyping Engineer
Summary:

Location: Wandsworth, London – on site at least 4 days a week
Working Hours: Full time, Monday to Thursday, 9:30 am – 6:00 pm, Friday 9:30 am – 5:00 pm (1-hour lunch break)Â

UAV Systems Engineer Role
The company is seeking technical individuals to join its UAV quadcopter design and production team and contribute to a hands-on, innovative workspace. The role encompasses all stages of product development: initial concept creation, prototype testing, supplier selection, design for manufacture, customer trials and production. You will have the opportunity to lead individual design and development projects, as well as working in a wider team. The role will require a willingness to travel to support field tests or customer demos & trade shows (about 5-15% of your time) with the remainder spent at our London-based prototype production facility.
Requirements:
- 3 – 5 years of experience with multi-rotor platforms, including Betaflight, Ardupilot and Pixhawk
- Thorough understanding of UAV systems including electronics, comms protocols, RF, structures, and propulsion
- PCB & Electronics design experience
- Practical hands-on experience of UAV manufacture
- CAD/CAM capability, Fusion360 or Solidworks
- Familiarity with engineering drawings
- 3D printing experienceÂ
Desirable Traits:
- Excitement to work with new technology
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- FPV / Drone Pilot – A2 / GVC certification would be a plus
- Team player with good communication skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks
- Problem-solving attitude and a proactive approach to engineering challenges
- A degree in Aeronautical/ Electronic/ Mechanical Engineering or other relevant field
