Overview of position:

We are looking for an experienced, credible and engaging L&D Consultant / Facilitator based in Northern England, preferably Liverpool, to join FabricShift and play a key role in delivering our behaviour change, leadership development, skills and anti-racism programmes.

The immediate priority for this role is anti-racism programme delivery. We therefore need someone who can step confidently into client delivery, facilitate sensitive and challenging conversations with credibility and care, and bring an authentic understanding of the racial barriers and challenges experienced by Black, Asian and other racially minoritised people.

Alongside this immediate delivery need, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute across leadership development, culture and behaviour change, business skills, coaching, team development, programme design, evaluation and client consulting.

This role is for someone who can combine strong facilitation with practical consulting capability and contribute to evolving FabricShift’s wider offer.

Key Responsibilities:

Programme Design and Delivery:

  • Deliver anti-racism programmes to employee groups, managers and senior leaders in Northern UK
  • Use lived experience and a strong understanding of racial barriers to bring credibility, nuance and real-world relevance to learning
  • Contribute to the design of workshops, blended learning experiences and practical behaviour-change interventions.
  • Deliver programmes on leadership development, EDI, culture, capability, and business/leadership skills
  • Adapt facilitation style, content and examples to different organisational cultures, sectors, levels of seniority and client contexts.
  • Gather initial feedback and contribute to the evaluation of programme impact.

Client Engagement:

  • Contribute to client-facing materials such as proposals, reports and presentations
  • Present behavioural insights confidently to senior leaders and client teams
  • Coach individuals and teams, ideally drawing on positive psychology and behaviour-change approaches.
  • Facilitate team development and reflective sessions.
  • Support managers and leaders to turn learning into observable changes in everyday behaviour.

Behavioural Insight & Business Development:

  • Translate research, client insight and practice into practical and engaging content for business audiences.
  • Contribute to insight reports, articles, opinion pieces, white papers and other thought leadership.
  • Bring practitioner insight into propositions and business development conversations where appropriate.
  • Help strengthen FabricShift’s voice and positioning through credible, compelling and commercially relevant insight.

Person specification:

Essential:

  • Proven experience delivering anti-racism and/or EDI programmes, ideally including work with managers and senior leaders.
  • Strong experience designing and/or delivering management, leadership, L&D, EDI or organisational development programmes.
  • Authentic understanding of the racial barriers and challenges faced by Black, Asian and other racially minoritised people. Lived experience is strongly valued and is central to the credibility required for this role.
  • Excellent facilitation skills, including the ability to hold challenging conversations
  • Strong understanding of culture and its relationship to leadership, behaviour and organisational performance.
  • Confidence working directly with clients and senior stakeholders in fast-paced consulting or professional environments.
  • Ability to adapt established programmes without losing their core learning objectives, and to respond thoughtfully to different client needs.

Desirable

  • Degree or postgraduate qualification in Psychology, Behavioural Science or similar
  • Consulting or professional services experience
  • Experience working with global or complex organisations
  • Familiarity with digital learning platforms, diagnostics or AI-enabled tools
  • Lived experience and authentic understanding of the racial barriers and challenges faced by Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic people
