This is not your typical Sales Manager role! We are currently searching for an ambitious individual to take ownership of a small but growing successful sales function. We're looking for someone who genuinely loves picking up the phone, having conversations, finding opportunities and winning business.

You'll manage and develop a small telesales team, but you'll also be right there on the phones yourself - generating leads, opening doors, speaking to decision-makers and converting new business. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to build and shape the sales function, introduce new ideas and processes, improve performance and ultimately help drive significant growth across the business.

If you're the kind of sales leader who believes the best way to manage a telesales team is to lead from the front, this could be a fantastic opportunity for you!

What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience in B2B telesales, outbound sales or business development
  • Previous experience managing, mentoring or coaching a sales team
  • A strong track record of generating new business through proactive outbound calling
  • The confidence and resilience to make cold calls and speak to people who weren't expecting your call
  • Excellent telephone communication and relationship-building skills
  • The ability to engage business owners, senior decision-makers and other key stakeholders
  • A natural ability to handle objections and confidently ask for the business
  • A target-driven and competitive mindset
  • The resilience to deal with rejection without losing momentum
  • Strong commercial awareness and an instinct for identifying opportunities
  • A proactive approach - you create opportunities rather than waiting for them
  • The ability to motivate a team through your own performance and example
  • A genuine desire to help build something and make a measurable impact
  • An interest or experience in property would be desirable but not essential

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead from the front by making a high volume of proactive outbound calls and generating your own new business
  • Take ownership of team and individual sales targets, ensuring consistent activity and performance
  • Build and manage your own pipeline of prospective clients alongside managing the team's pipeline
  • Turn cold calls into warm conversations, warm conversations into opportunities and opportunities into new clients
  • Follow up relentlessly and intelligently - ensuring potential business doesn't go cold
  • Coach the team on cold calling, prospecting, objection handling, questioning, relationship building and closing
  • Listen to calls, provide feedback and help team members continually improve their telephone technique
  • Set expectations around daily call volumes, conversations, appointments, leads and conversions
  • Monitor individual and team performance against KPIs and take action where results aren't being achieved
  • Develop and implement effective outbound calling strategies to increase contact rates and conversions
  • Build relationships with key decision-makers and turn one-off opportunities into long-term commercial relationships
  • Take ownership of the CRM, ensuring activity, prospects and opportunities are accurately recorded and followed up
  • Work closely with the wider business to ensure new clients are handed over effectively
  • Help build the sales culture as the business continues to grow

Looking for your next challenge and the opportunity to lead from the front? If you're ambitious, driven and ready to make your mark within a growing business, we'd love to hear from you.
