Description of the role:

  • Review tender enquiries, specifications, and contract conditions.
  • Prepare estimates, tender submissions, and attend review meetings.
  • Ensure all construction methods comply with health, safety, and quality standards.
  • Conduct site visits and assess factors influencing cost and construction methods.
  • Source materials, plant hire, and subcontractor quotes; calculate costs and overheads.
  • Support contract handovers and maintain compliance with company procedures.
  • Mentor and support junior staff to develop skills and competence.

About you:

  • You will have experience with industrial buildings and civil engineering projects.
  • Civil Engineering or equivalent degree would be advantageous.
  • Experience in substation construction.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, cost estimation, and health & safety legislation.
