This role is perfect for an experienced Deputy Nursery Manager seeking an exciting new challenge. Description of the role:

  • Support the team in the day-to-day running of the nursery, helping set objectives and maintaining high standards.
  • Promote a safe, stimulating environment that nurtures every child's personal, emotional, and social development.
  • Lead, inspire and guide their amazing team, ensuring best practice is always at the heart of what we do.
  • Build wonderful relationships with children, families, staff, and external agencies.
  • Help manage staffing rotas, supervise training, and contribute to appraisals and staff development.
  • Oversee health, safety, hygiene, and safeguarding standards, ensuring compliance and peace of mind for parents.
  • Play a key part in maintaining their excellent records, from child development tracking to administrative processes.
  • Be involved in fun out-of-hours events like parents' evenings, fundraising, and team meetings.

About you:

  • You’ll have a warm, caring approach and a real passion for early years education.
  • Ideally, you’ll have previous leadership or supervisory experience in a nursery or childcare setting.
  • A good understanding of Ofsted standards and safeguarding is essential.
  • You’ll be organised, proactive, and a great communicator - someone who thrives in a team.
  • Relevant childcare qualifications (minimum Level 3) are required.
