About the role:
We are looking for a talented and passionate Concierge to assist Front Office team to deliver outstanding guest service experience at Fable Christchurch Hotel.
The right person for this role consistently has a proactive attitude towards our guests, making them feel special and naturally welcome to our hotel. You have a passion to provide excellent customer services and strive to improve on your services. This position will give you the unique opportunity to engage with a variety of guest, both from New Zealand and internationally who have high expectations around quality, personal and unique experiences.
Responsibilities will include:
• Welcoming guests & assisting with luggage and parking
• Answering guest queries
• Recommend & organize tours, activities, restaurant reservations
• Deal with challenging situations and special requests
• To be a role model for the team when it comes to delivering exceptional guest service.
• Maintain, share and inculcate the brand standards of the hotel across the Concierge team in conjunction with the Head of Department
The ideal candidate will have:
• Previous experience in a similar role within a hotel environment is preferred
• Physically able to lift and carry luggage
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• New Zealand citizenship, residency or a current valid work permit.
• Immaculate personal presentation and grooming standards.
• Full New Zealand Driver\’s License a must be able to drive both manual and automatic
• The ability to multi-task and deliver on time; as well as flexibility to work evening shifts, including weekends
• The flexibility to work on a rotating roster
• An exceptional can-do attitude that is continuously looking at ways to enhance on our guests experience
