Fable England is a fashion accessories brand best known for exquisitely crafting hand‑painted jewellery, handbags, scarves and sleepwear. Inspired by classic British literature, each collection beholds a rich and playful narrative illustrated through prints and embroideries, where timeless scenes of nature set a whimsical spin on a classic tale to amuse and delight. Our mission at Fable is to create joy and to care for the world we live in. Each tale and charm represents positivity and inspires kindness; these sentiments are expressed through our prints, embroideries, jewellery, vegan leather handbags and accessories.
This is a hands‑on role for someone who thinks in content and lives on social. You’ll be responsible for building and driving Fable England’s social presence forward - combining content creation, strategic planning and championing the brand. Reporting to the Brand Marketing Director, you’ll work at the heart of the brand during an exciting growth period, shaping how we show up across every digital touchpoint. You’ll work closely with Digital and Product teams, with meaningful creative autonomy within a clear brand framework. Everything we publish must feel unmistakably Fable - visually, verbally and emotionally.
- Social
Own day‑to‑day management of social channels, with Instagram and TikTok as the primary focus. Plan and manage content calendars aligned to launches, campaigns and the wider brand calendar. Develop a new social strategy alongside the Brand Marketing Director for the next phase of brand growth. Produce a strong, balanced mix of product and brand content, rooted in the content pillars. Run monthly test and learn initiatives to stay ahead of platform trends and audience behaviour. Monitor platform algorithm changes and proactively adapt content strategy in response. Track brand sentiment, competitor activity and category conversation.
- Content Creation & Management
Create, commission and deliver high quality content across Instagram, TikTok, Substack and the website. Support the planning and execution of content shoots, both in‑house and with external partners. Produce and edit short‑form video, Reels and visual assets to a consistent brand standard. Write and oversee brand‑consistent copy for social, email and all relevant touchpoints. Source and manage a network of external content creators, from brief through to deliverable sign‑off. Develop the brand‑led/editorial email content plan and execute all required assets.
- Collaboration & Insight
Collaborate with Product and Digital teams to support trading priorities through content. Monitor performance, engagement and content effectiveness across all channels. Use insight to refine content strategy and improve relevance, reach and commercial impact. Produce a regular reporting rhythm (weekly/monthly) with clear performance commentary.
- Skills & Experience
Proven experience in content creation, planning and brand‑led social media management. Experience within lifestyle, fashion or accessories brand. Strong visual taste level, instinctive storytelling ability and excellent written communication. Confidence shooting, editing and publishing content – as always being in content yourself. Comfortable working independently and collaborating cross‑functionally. Experience briefing and managing freelance creators or UGC contributors. An awareness of changing platform and social trends.
- What This Role Is (and Is Not)
A hands‑on social content role with real creative ownership. Responsibility for output quality and brand standard. Creative influence at a formative moment for the brand. Not a Creative Director position. Not a pure performance marketing or growth role. Not a large‑team management role.
- Why Join Fable
A distinctive, design‑led British brand with a loyal and growing audience. High creative ownership and the ability to shape how the brand shows up. Supportive, collaborative team with a genuine belief in craft. Flexible working arrangements. Real career growth opportunity within a fast‑moving brand.
