Fable England is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Product Assistant to support our Design and Product team. This is a varied, hands-on role where you will contribute across product development, design coordination, production, and operations—playing a key role in bringing collections to life from concept through to delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Development & Coordination
- Support the Design and Product team in day-to-day activities, ensuring all product categories run smoothly.
- Attend product development meetings, taking detailed notes and sharing clear action points with the wider team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and assist in communication with suppliers, including participation in product and supplier meetings.
- Create and maintain accurate spec sheets across all product categories.
- Organise and manage design and development samples, including swatches and references, ensuring all items are clearly labelled and stored.
- Conduct trend research and competitor analysis, producing visual reports and presentations to inform product direction.
- Sampling & Production Management
- Assist in setting up new seasonal products within internal systems, including raising purchase orders and preparing visual reports.
- Coordinate shipments and parcels to factories and external partners.
- Review and quality-check samples and swatches, providing clear and constructive feedback to factories.
- Support the Customer Service team by responding to product-related queries in a timely and professional manner, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Product, Shoot & Marketing Coordination
- Coordinate products for photography, campaigns, social media, and press, working closely with the Marketing team.
- Prepare and style products for photoshoots and presentations, supporting on shoot days as required.
- Operations & Stock Management
- Oversee inbound stock and inter-warehouse transfers, liaising with warehouse teams to resolve issues and escalating delays when necessary.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, updating weekly tracking sheets by SKU and location.
- Manage pre-order and marketplace listings in line with stock levels, ensuring all product information is accurate and up to date.
- Provide general administrative support to the wider team.
What We’re Looking For
- 1–2 years’ experience in a Product Development, Design, or Buying Admin Assistant (BAA) role, or similar.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent attention to detail, particularly in product specifications and data management.
- Confident communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUP) and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator is a plus.
- A proactive, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- A passion for fashion, design, and product development, with awareness of current trends.
