We are raising the standard in affordable industrial machinery by combining serious engineering with lean systems and fast decision-making. As we scale, we are looking for a Senior Technical Manager to lead our engineering and service department. This is a leadership role, not a maintenance position.

The Role

  • Lead and supervise CNC and laser engineers and workshop staff
  • Improve systems, structure and technical standards
  • Oversee service scheduling, installations and PPM contracts
  • Support office staff with complex technical queries
  • Ensure CE and UKCA compliance and documentation accuracy
  • Drive continuous improvement across products and operations

This position is primarily office-based in Brigg, with occasional site visits when required.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 5 years managing technical teams in CNC and/or fiber laser environments
  • 5–10 years hands-on engineering experience including fault finding, controllers, wiring and tools
  • Strong understanding of industrial CNC systems
  • Strong management and organisational skills with experience using CRM and task management systems
  • Habit of double-checking work, tracking KPIs and ensuring nothing slips through the cracks
  • Able to provide clear daily updates to senior management and keep a constant finger on the pulse of the department
  • Background in service, installations or heavy machinery
  • Structured thinker who improves systems, not just reacts to problems
  • You must be able to challenge engineers technically, build efficient processes and raise standards across the department.

Why Join FABERTEC

  • Growing company with serious ambition
  • Direct access to leadership with no unnecessary hierarchy
  • Fast decisions and real impact
  • Performance-based salary progression
  • Opportunity to help shape technical standards in a rapidly growing sector
