FAAC Entrance Solutions is a provider of automatic door systems, committed to delivering high-quality service and innovative solutions for a wide range of clients across commercial, industrial, and public sectors. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dedicated and skilled Service Engineer to join our remote team.
As an Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and testing of automated door systems, ensuring each project meets safety standards and customer expectations. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical skills, a problem-solving mindset, and a passion for precision and service.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Working with a team or teams installing and managing the installation of FAAC door systems
- To undertake all necessary pre-installation checks
- Compliance of Installation work instructions
- To liaise with client, other trades, and third parties as indicated on work instructions
- To install equipment in-line with company standards and current regulations
- To complete all post installation & commissioning checks
- Support with warranty resolution
- Support of the handover process to client including site training in the use of installed products
- To keep in good working order any tools, equipment, or vehicles supplied by the company
- Supporting the business on an ad-hoc basis as required where appropriate i.e. attending pre-order meetings in the office or site meetings.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- EN16005 authorised technician
- Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Skilled Worker Certified
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Installation experience of door systems
- Strong sense of ownership and responsibility for meeting the requirements of the role and satisfying customers
- Practical problem solver and open to overcoming daily challenges
- Able to take initiative i.e. proactive, self-driven and able to standalone
- High technical competency with a willingness to learn new skills and technologies
- FAAC product knowledge is preferable
- Practical engineering expertise including field engineering skill
- Clear and concise verbal communicator
- Comfortable communicating via telephone
- Customer focused
- A team player that can work well with everyone
- Patient and calm under pressure
- Proficient in IT systems and tools.
Special Competencies Required:
- EN16005 certificate essential – FAAC can provide training and exam after three months of employment.
- CSCS Accredited.
