Ferrovial Construction UK is offering a 2-year graduate development programme for Graduate Quality Engineers to assist with day-to-day activities on major UK infrastructure projects. The programme develops personal, professional and technical skills through a blended approach, under the supervision of Quality Managers.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to health and safety in accordance with company policy and ensure quality standards on projects are upheld.
- Assist in writing and reviewing quality documentation including Quality Management Plans and Inspection and Test Plans.
- Support development of briefing and communication strategies to ensure quality plans and information are understood by all employees and subcontractors.
- Assist in monitoring compliance of construction works on site and relevant documentation in accordance with Works Information, Ferrovial standards and technical standards.
- Carry out reports for the senior Quality team; support the Project Quality Manager with investigations and audits.
- Provide guidance on quality requirements and best practice, promoting continuous improvement and innovation across the site team and the business.
- Promote Ferrovial Construction UK's vision and values; take ownership of assigned work.
- Adhere to safe working practices on-site and ensure staff comply; support Environmental and Sustainability policies.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact at various levels; excellent written and oral English.
Requirements
- Degree or Masters (all disciplines considered); must have right to work in the UK by the start of employment.
- Motivated to learn and add value to the team, the role and the Graduate programme.
- Analytical thinker who enjoys problem solving; proven team player who can work with others; able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Proactive, with commercial awareness and understanding of the industry.
- Familiar with Microsoft packages; technical knowledge (Civil, Mechanical and/or Electrical).
- Interpersonal skills: logical thinker, resilient, flexible; strong communication; able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Desirable
- Knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation; quality experience and CSCS Card.
Essential
- Must have right to work in the UK by start of employment and throughout the graduate programme.
