Ferrovial Construction UK is offering a graduate development programme for Quantity Surveyors. The 2-year programme develops personal, professional and technical skills through a blended approach and provides exposure to major UK infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in financial control on allocated projects, including day-to-day management of the bill of quantities.
  • Support tender enquiries, analysis of quotations and subcontractor procurement.
  • Provide advice to managers on achieving value for money and ensure cost control aligns with financial systems; liaise with procurement teams to ensure compliance with financial parameters.
  • Assist in the production and monitoring of Applications and Final Accounts; check agreed subcontract applications and accounts.
  • Document control and project administration in line with company policy.
  • Contribute to Health and Safety in accordance with company policy and promote Ferrovial Construction UK values in dealings with colleagues, clients and subcontractors.
  • Develop partnerships with Contractors and Sub-contractors and participate in blended training to build technical, professional and behavioural skills.
  • Support the process of becoming chartered with internal and external guidance.
  • Understand Ferrovial Construction from a global perspective and explore mobility opportunities.
  • Engage in charity volunteering and innovation projects where available.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Degree or Master’s in Quantity Surveying (industry-related disciplines considered).
  • Motivated to learn and add value to the team and the graduate programme.
  • Analytical thinker with problem-solving skills; able to work well in a team and under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Proactive, capable of working independently with minimal supervision; strong communication skills.
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of the construction industry; proficient with Microsoft software.
  • Familiar with Health and Safety legislation; knowledge of quantity surveying practices.
  • Right to work in the UK by the start of employment and for the duration of the programme.
