Ferrovial Construction is looking for Graduate Quality Engineers to assist with, and in some cases be responsible for, day‑to‑day activities on a variety of major UK infrastructure projects. This role is part of a 2‑year graduate development programme designed to develop personal, professional and technical skills through a blended approach.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in writing and reviewing quality documentation, including Quality Management Plans and Inspection and Test Plans.
  • Support the development of briefing and communication strategies to ensure quality plans and important information are understood and operated by all employees and subcontractors.
  • Monitor compliance of construction works on site and review relevant documentation in accordance with Works Information, Ferrovial standards and relevant Technical Standards.
  • Prepare reports for the senior Quality team.
  • Support the Project Quality Manager with investigations and audits.
  • Provide guidance on quality requirements and best practice, promoting continuous improvement and innovation across the site team and the business.
  • Promote Ferrovial Construction UK’s vision and values while taking ownership of assigned work.
  • Adhere to safe working practice regulations on‑site and ensure all staff comply.
  • Support Ferrovial Construction Environmental and Sustainability policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Degree or Masters (all disciplines considered).
  • Right to work in the UK by the start of employment (and throughout the duration of the programme).
  • Analytical thinker who enjoys problem solving.
  • Proven team player capable of effective collaboration.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Proactive approach to working and learning.
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of the construction industry.
  • Familiar with all Microsoft packages.
  • Technical knowledge in Civil, Mechanical and / or Electrical disciplines.
  • Logical thinker with willingness to learn; resilient and flexible; results‑driven with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Desirable skills: Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation, experience with CSCS Card.
