About the role

We’re hiring a hands-on Data Compliance Manager to maintain and improve our data protection, privacy and compliance activities. You’ll work across teams in a range of activities related to maintaining privacy safeguards such as GDPR and PECR obligations, TOMs, data retention policy implementation, SARs, DMPs, DPIAs, TIAs, ROPRs and overall compliance in EU and and UK jurisdictions.

This is a full-time hand-on role and not a consulting, part-time or advisory role. We\’re looking for a hands-on manager to ensure we maintain operational excellence in privacy and data compliance across related tasks in our group of UK, IE and US companies. The successful candidate will work with our DPO.

On a typical day as a Data Compliance Manager, you will:

  • Maintain and execute compliance programs aligned with GDPR, PECR, ePrivacy, and other relevant frameworks.
  • Manage data mapping (Article 30), TOMs, TIAs, SDRs, and Data Retention Policies.
  • Evaluate and monitor third-party processors and tech stack from a privacy perspective.
  • Ensure compliance across multiple domains such as social network operations, EC-funded projects, and software sales channels.
  • Participate in updating and maintaining privacy policies and notices across business units.
  • Respond to data subject rights requests for access, erasure, objection, etc.
  • Support technology and marketing teams on PECR/ePrivacy compliance for cookie usage, email marketing and related areas.
  • Develop and maintain Data Management Plans (DMPs), ethics reports, and privacy deliverables for EC-funded projects.
  • Review new products privacy-by-design principles.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation and records of processing.
  • Analyse new regulations, rules and developments and implement appropriate compliance measures.
  • Liaise with Irish and UK Data Protection Authorities as needed.

Desired profile

  • At least 4 years of in-house privacy & compliance experience in an operational role
  • Extensive experience working with and supporting business units to achieve data compliance goals
  • You should hold one or more of the following certifications:
    • CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT
    • CDPO
  • Proven experience with GDPR, PECR and related regulation in Ireland. Having UK experience as well is a big plus
  • Strong practical knowledge of Article 30 records, TOMs, TIAs, and data governance
  • Strong documentation and policy-writing skills
  • Organised and results oriented
  • Nice to have: familiarity with data privacy requirements within European Commission-funded projects (e.g. DMPs, ethics reports)
