The Field Marketing Manager (FMM) will be the main marketing point of contact for the North West Europe (NWE) field sales team and will be focused on all aspects of field marketing in the NWE Region. This role will report to the Sr Manager, Field Marketing, EMEA. The FMM will assist with regional field campaigns and events throughout the region working in close partnership with the NWE Channel Marketing Manager and together they will ensure a comprehensive field and channel marketing plan for the region.
The successful candidate will facilitate the planning of all field marketing activities across the NWE region, including but not limited to strategic account engagement programs (ABM), events, seminars, digital and online campaigns. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills to be able to report on campaign success by aligning to our marketing KPIs and will utilise data points for future planning. This region covers three distinct districts and the marketing and channel landscape is unique to each district. Therefore, an ability to strategise and remain focused is required. Close collaboration with sales leadership and their account managers is essential, whilst ensuring that the organisation’s strategic marketing imperatives are also met.
The FMM will collaborate with the RVP for the region and their District Sales Managers, listen to requirements and suggestions, and will share feedback to HQ marketing teams. A key part of this role will be the management of the regional marketing budget and ensuring end to end visibility of local marketing results; reporting on program effectiveness and conversion to leads/opportunities and closed business. Close alignment with the Business Development Representatives (BDRs) is essential as common goals are shared.
Roles and Responsibilities- Creation and successful reporting of F5’s regional marketing plan, which details the key initiatives and marketing campaigns that meets both field sales and strategic marketing requirements.
- Work alongside regional Field Marketing Manager (Channel) and solution marketing teams where local language support is required to support region.
- Participate in regional management discussions.
- Provide marketing support to sales leadership throughout the region and be able to clearly communicate marketing strategy and contribution.
- Take ownership of marketing planning throughout region to create a regional marketing plan that supports the sales team and meets strategic marketing goals whilst considering budget and resource availability.
- Understand the reporting processes within F5 and use data analytics to report on KPIs and regional contribution to EMEA marketing activities and goals.
- Appropriate and considered management of NWE field budget.
- Close liaison with local finance and legal teams to ensure compliance with fiscal and legal requirements.
- Participate as an active member in team meetings and activities.
- Responsible for upholding F5’s Business Code of Ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the Code or other company policies.
- Experienced marketeer with a passion for working with field sales: practiced in planning, executing and reporting across a range of online and offline marketing activities.
- Success in working within a fast changing environment. Able to pivot quickly, juggle multiple tasks and execute campaigns at a high level.
- Prior experience of working within a global security/software organisation advantageous.
- Knowledge of target regions (with local language skills preferable).
- Proven record of working closely with sales as well as marketing colleagues throughout the business.
- Budgeting responsibility. Experience of planning with Field Marketing funds.
- First class organisation skills and strong project management skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong ability to work cross-functionally and cross-regionally.
- Good PC skills, particularly Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. An understanding of Tableau and Marketo would be valuable.
- GDPR experience and working with double opt in countries advantageous.
- Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience preferred.
- Duties are performed in a normal office environment while sitting at a desk or computer table.
- Duties require the ability to utilise a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material.
- Duties may require being on call periodically and working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends).
