IT Support Engineer – £30,000 | Onsite in Leicestershire (Hinckley)Full-time | 5 days a week onsite
Our client is hiring for an IT Support Engineer to be the first point of contact for all things IT in a busy office in Hinckley. If you're passionate about tech, enjoy solving problems, and want to develop your IT career in a hands-on, fast-paced environment, they'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Acting as the go-to for all end-user IT support, managing and resolving incidents via our Helpdesk.
- Supporting both on-premise and cloud-based infrastructure.
- Assisting with network troubleshooting (LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls).
- Managing Active Directory accounts and basic Group Policy tasks.
- Setting up and maintaining user equipment: laptops, desktops, mobile devices, etc.
- Delivering IT inductions to new starters and maintaining IT documentation.
- Collaborating with 3rd-party providers and supporting ongoing IT projects.
- Providing occasional out-of-hours support when required.
What You'll Bring:
- 6-12 months' experience in an IT Support or Service Desk role.
- Good knowledge of Windows 10/11, TCP/IP, Group Policy, Active Directory.
- Awareness of Windows Server (2016/19/22).
- A proactive approach with excellent communication and documentation skills.
- A genuine interest in learning and staying up to date with new technologies.
Bonus Points For:
- Familiarity with ITIL principles, Microsoft 365, Azure, VLANs, Hyper-V.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or ITIL Foundation.
