We're hiring a Monitoring / Tooling specialist to support a major secure public sector programme. This is a mix of BAU and project work, with a focus on event management, monitoring optimisation, and tooling transformation (moving away from legacy platforms like TrueSight).
Ideal for someone currently working as a:
- Monitoring Engineer
- Observability Engineer
- Tooling Consultant
- NOC Engineer
- Systems Engineer (with monitoring experience)
What You'll Do
- Improve event management & alerting (reduce noise, increase value)
- Support and enhance enterprise monitoring tools
- Contribute to tooling migrations / transformation projects
- Build dashboards, reports, and documentation
- Work closely with technical teams and stakeholders
What You'll Bring
- Experience with tools like BMC, Tivoli, Netcool, SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix
- Strong understanding of monitoring & event management
- Experience with tool configuration / integration
- Knowledge of SNMP, networking, Windows/Linux
- Scripting (Python / PowerShell) or API integration is a plus
Travel 1 day per week on-site (South West + UK wide). Must be comfortable working in secure environments.
Clearance: SC cleared or eligible. DV eligibility required (UK residency & sole nationality).
