At F5, we strive to bring a better digital world to life. Our teams empower organizations across the globe to create, secure, and run applications that enhance how we experience our evolving digital world. We are passionate about cybersecurity, from protecting consumers from fraud to enabling companies to focus on innovation. Everything we do centers around people. That means we obsess over how to make the lives of our customers, and their customers, better. And it means we prioritize a diverse F5 community where each individual can thrive.
The role involves running F5’s North West EMEA region, covering the UK and Ireland, Benelux, and the Nordics and Baltics. You will own the region’s number, strategy and team, managing all sales personnel within a matrixed Systems Engineering and Channels organization. A key measure of success is sustained growth of F5’s market share in the North West, quarter on quarter and year on year. You are an outward, customer-facing executive with a track record in high-touch, consultative enterprise sales of software and SaaS across hybrid cloud, security and application services to Fortune 1000 customers. Under the guidance of the SVP EMEA, you will set the regional strategy, identify target markets, and execute across direct and channel routes.
Responsibilities:
- Own and grow the region’s number — deliver and exceed targets, budget and forecast, and expand revenue and market share across the accounts and F5’s full product range.
- Recruit, develop and retain a strong sales team, and grow the region’s sales managers into leaders.
- Own the region’s most senior customer and channel-partner relationships, bringing partners in early and running a significant part of sales through the channel.
- Put account, territory and business planning in place that makes the strategy real in the field, and standardize sales-management review.
- Forecast and report sales accurately and on time.
Qualifications:
- Experience leading sales managers, not only individual contributors.
- Proven ability to transform the business whilst delivering the numbers.
- A track record of setting direction, aligning a team and delivering measurable impact in a senior sales leadership role.
- A strong record in high-touch, consultative enterprise sales of complex software and SaaS (Cloud, Security, AI or Application Services) to Fortune 1000 customers, direct and through the channel.
- Experience running a remote, matrixed field sales organization.
- A history of achieving and exceeding quotas in excess of $100 million.
- Willingness and ability to travel across the region preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of the application delivery, cloud or security market.
Additional responsibilities:
- Management duties including supervision of sales management and sales staff, performance evaluations, approving paid time-off (PTO), assigning and delegating work, on-the-job training, guidance, performance improvement plans, disciplinary action, and interviewing candidates for open roles.
- Uphold F5’s Business Code of Ethics and promptly report violations of the Code or other company policies.
- Duties are performed in a normal office environment and require the ability to use a computer, communicate by telephone, and read printed material. They may require being on call and working outside normal hours. Travel by car or air is required, approximately 60% of the time.
