F5 is looking for an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Solutions Architect in North and Western Europe Region as a senior pre-sales role supporting sales of F5 technology in the context of AI Data Center Infrastructures (AI Factories) and AI Applications. Your primary function will be to work in collaboration with an AI Sales role to discover opportunities and identify appropriate F5 solutions to address customers’ business needs. You will provide technical expertise and business acumen across specific or multiple industries, with particular focus on the AI technology and ecosystem. Your role will be to position F5 technology in the context of AI application delivery and security and champion our customers’ requirements to ensure they are understood by other teams within F5, such as Marketing, Product Management, and Product Engineering.

A fundamental part of your mission as Solution Architect will be to become customer trust advisor and champion in the AI technology ecosystem to also educate the F5 solution engineering team, internally and externally, via whitepapers, training, blogs, tech tips, presentations, and more. To truly excel in this role, we’re seeking a profile that not only possesses strong technical skills and a deep understanding of how Application Delivery and Security technology drives innovation in the AI era but also shares our commitment to F5's mission. Above all, a genuine enthusiasm for continuous learning, adaptability, and staying ahead of evolving trends is essential. Familiarity with F5 products and the broader ecosystem is beneficial, but what matters most is your drive to embrace new challenges, expand your knowledge, and help us advance our mission in the rapidly changing world of AI.   • Identify and work on strategic opportunities within AI Infrastructure and AI applications technology area and provide technical expertise to embed F5 technology within these opportunities.
  • Play the role of an evangelist and thought leader in the AI technology and business area.
  • Collaborate with other Solution Architects and internal business leaders to share ideas, identify common customer pain points and industry trends, and identify appropriate F5 solutions.
  • Advocate for customer needs, high-value everyday use cases, and innovative ideas from the field with product management and services teams.
  • Work closely with our internal Product Management and services teams and provide technical and business feedback for product design, architecture, launches, and updates that would benefit our customers.
  • Provide mentorship as needed to the Solution Engineering community in the organization.

Experience playing the role of an evangelist, thought leader, and mentor in the field of AI. Liaison between Sales and Marketing, Product Management, Product Engineering. Experience working with strategic business opportunities; Experience in AI best practices, technology landscape, and ecosystem; Knowledge of AI application architectures and components, including Large Language Models, Orchestrators, Agents, and Tools, along with a willingness to stay up-to-date with market and technological developments within the evolving AI landscape; Knowledge of AI infrastructure and data center network designs and reference architectures, both for east-west and north-south. Knowledge of Nvidia reference architectures will be preferred. Knowledge of current AI App security ecosystem and challenges. Knowledge of Storage technologies, designing architectures for efficient data delivery, in the context of AI training, fine-tuning and inference. Advanced usage of AI tools (chatbots, agents...) for content search, content analysis, content generation, task automation and potentially vibe coding. Knowledge of cloud-native application design patterns (Kubernetes, APIs, micro-services, service mesh, and more). Advanced knowledge of business outcome-focused architecture, engineering, and operations practices.

What you’ll bring:

  • Ability to effectively communicate and present technical concepts to executives and business leaders, tailoring the message to the audience's level of technical understanding.
  • Extensive experience making business driven solutions demonstrations and presentations to technical and business leads.
  • Experience speaking at industry/customer events, publishing whitepapers/solution articles, blogs, tech tips, and more.
  • Deep knowledge of F5 Solutions.
  • 8+ years of related industry experience.
  • Relevant certifications are a plus.
  • BS/BA or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge of AI Factory reference architectures.
