A well-established FinTech organisation is looking for a Junior Data Scientist to join its Business Intelligence and Analytics function during an exciting period of transformation. Having recently completed a major migration to Microsoft Fabric, the team is now focused on pushing the boundaries of modern analytics through Python automation, AI-enabled workflows, and advanced data capabilities across the business.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with over 2 years of experience who enjoys combining analytics, automation, and modern data science techniques to solve real business problems in a collaborative, fast-moving environment. You’ll work closely with the BI Manager, Data Engineers, and business stakeholders to improve how data is used across the organisation - from forecasting and segmentation through to AI-assisted automation and intelligent reporting solutions.
What you’ll be doing:
- Using SQL and Python to extract, analyse, and automate data-driven workflows
- Building analytics solutions and visualisations using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric
- Supporting segmentation, forecasting, and exploratory analysis initiatives
- Developing Python-based automations and AI-assisted processes to improve efficiency and scalability
- Working with modern cloud data platforms and helping evolve the organisation’s analytics capability
- Collaborating with business stakeholders to deliver actionable insights and recommendations
- Supporting the ongoing development of data models, pipelines, and reporting solutions
- Exploring innovative uses of AI tooling and automation within analytics workflows
