We’re supporting a leading digital consultancy delivering high-impact UK public sector programmes, and we’re looking to hire multiple Content Designers with recent, hands-on GDS experience.

The Opportunity: You’ll be embedded within multidisciplinary teams delivering government digital services, shaping content that supports critical user journeys across large-scale transformation programmes. This is a role where GDS isn’t just a guideline—it’s central to everything you do.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Designing and delivering user-centred content for public sector services
  • Applying GOV.UK Service Standard and GDS principles in day-to-day work
  • Creating clear, accessible, and inclusive content aligned to government guidelines
  • Working closely with user researchers, service designers, and developers in agile teams
  • Using research, data, and testing to continuously iterate and improve content
  • Supporting service assessments and ensuring GDS compliance
  • Engaging stakeholders across government to shape content strategies
  • Simplifying complex policy and technical information for end users

What We’re Looking For (Essential):

  • Recent experience working on UK public sector / government digital services
  • Strong, practical knowledge of GDS and the GOV.UK Service Standard
  • Experience preparing for or working through GDS service assessments
  • Proven background in Content Design within agile, multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to produce clear, concise, accessible content at scale
  • Confidence working with user research, data, and evidence-led design
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills within public sector environments

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in a consultancy environment
  • Workshop facilitation and stakeholder alignment experience
  • Broader UX / Service Design exposure

Working Setup:

  • UK-wide role
  • Hybrid working: 1–2 days per week onsite (project dependent)
  • Flexibility to travel as required by client engagements
  • Must have right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
