Workplace Engineer / 2nd Line IT Support
Salisbury | Up to Β£39,000 | Permanent | Fully onsite, Monday-Friday
Enjoy solving technical problems and helping people get back up and running? We're looking for a Workplace Engineer to deliver hands-on IT support in a secure environment.
You'll join a supportive team, troubleshooting desktop issues, setting up equipment and keeping users connected.
What you'll be doing:
- Providing first- and second-line support for PCs, laptops, peripherals and printers.
- Building, configuring and troubleshooting Windows devices.
- Supporting Microsoft 365, Outlook and other business applications.
- Maintaining network printers, remote access connections and endpoint encryption.
- Working with other technical teams to resolve incidents and keep services running.
What you'll bring:
- Second-line desktop support experience and a practical approach to troubleshooting.
- Confidence supporting Windows 10/11 and Microsoft applications.
- Familiarity with Citrix, VMware and thin-client environments.
- An understanding of networking and ITIL service processes.
- Good communication skills and a focus on helping users.
- A full clean driving licence.
You must be a sole British citizen and eligible to obtain SC clearance. Existing SC clearance is welcome but isn't essential.
This role requires five days a week onsite in Salisbury.
