Job Description
The key responsibilities of a Studio Manager are the growth and operations of their studio and team. Ultimately, the Studio Manager's main responsibility is to grow the business and therefore takes the lead on all membership sales - from lead to membership conversion. Your financial and professional success will be dictated by whether or not the business performs financially. They will also be responsible for maintaining the standard of excellence in the studio and among all employees, as well as onboarding and hiring new team members. This role also leads the day-to-day management of the studio, social media, member care, and training classes. Therefore, the ideal candidate is equipped with a background in sales, a history of fitness management, amazing communication skills, is equipped to teach the product effectively, and has exceptional team leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Studio Growth + Retention
- Drive the membership sales of your studio.
- Meet or exceed required performance metrics (KPIs).
- Collaborate with the Sales Director to ensure membership growth and retention.
- Engage the local community to drive awareness, including the studio launch.
- Management of Mindbody and our CRM Software.
- Manage daily operations of the studio.
- Manage studio operating expenses and payroll budgets within targets.
- Manage/coordinate vendors/suppliers.
- Maintain cleanliness, appearance, and organisation of the studio.
- Maintain the serviceability of training equipment.
- Provide and maintain the highest level of customer service by leading from the front and setting high standards for what you expect from your team.
- Execute community calendar promotions and events.
- Develop all F45 8/6 week Challenge plans and execute all agreed plans.
- Ensure compliance and adherence to F45/FS8 business policies and standards.
- Assist with special projects, events, and promotions as needed.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the brand and model behaviour according to the company standards.
- Recruit, hire, train, manage, and develop a dynamic team of fitness trainers and staff.
- Track and ensure accuracy of all mandatory education certifications/training for all trainers.
- Train and manage all staff by the prescribed methods of the company.
- Develop a high-energy culture through purpose-driven and incentive-based motivation.
- Plan and coordinate shift schedule and ensure the smooth running of a fully staffed daily class schedule.
- Prepare weekly and monthly communications for the team based on Studio performance.
Prerequisites

- 2+ years of proven sales leadership in the Health & Fitness industry (desired).
- 3+ years of management experience, including directly overseeing all aspects of staff management from hiring, training, supporting, disciplining, and terminating.
- Comfort working with budgets, payroll, revenue, and forecasting.
- Knowledge of business processes and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations, etc.).
- Outstanding experience delivering high-quality customer service, excellent communication, organisational, and written skills.
- Excellent leadership and management skills to create a positive, successful environment for staff and clients.
