F2 Recruitment, acting as an employment business, are recruiting an HGV Class 2 Driver for a well-established distribution operation based in Rochdale. This is an excellent opportunity for someone fairly new to the industry looking for an early opportunity to learn and grow as a professional Class 2 Driver. If you have recently passed your Class 1 and want to progress from Class 2 to Class 1, this company offers the opportunity to do so. You will also gain your ADR (Hazardous Goods) Certificate after 6 months.
This role follows a clear staged temp to perm structure. Drivers will begin with a short assessment period of approximately two weeks. Once both the driver and the client agree to proceed, the role will move into the start of a 12 week temp to perm period.
Pay Structure (whilst on the Temp to Perm)
- £14.50 per hour
- £21.75 per hour after 8 hours
After successful completion of the 12 weeks, drivers will transfer onto the client's permanent salaried contract.
Permanent Package (After completion of 12 successful weeks)
- £36,000 per annum
- Paid monthly on the 25th
- Bonus scheme up to £3,000 per annum paid on top of salary

- Occasional 18T and 7.5T work
- Most of the work is FLT'd off at the delivery point, with some curb-side deliveries using the tail-lift and pump truck
- Modern vehicles
- Working out of the Rochdale depot
Shifts
- 5 days per week
- Start times between 06:00 and 08:00
- Average 52.5 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
Requirements
- Valid Class 2 licence
- Driver CPC
- Digital tachograph card
- No more than 6 minor endorsements for insurance purposes
- There are no age restrictions with this position
- ADR desirable but not essential
