TEMP TO PERM Location: SK16 / Glossop Pay: £16.00 per hour Contract: 12-week Temp to Perm Positions Available: 2 Start: ASAP following successful interview F2 Recruitment acting as an employment business, are currently recruiting 2 experienced Class 2 HGV Drivers for an established client operating from the SK16 area, with vehicles loading kitchens from Glossop (SK13). This is a genuine 12-week temp-to-perm opportunity and would suit reliable Class 2 drivers looking for long-term work involving nationwide deliveries rather than typical local multi-drop work. ?? THE ROLE You will be delivering kitchens, kitchen units and appliances to locations throughout the UK, with a significant proportion of deliveries travelling to the South of England. The majority of deliveries are double-manned due to the distances involved and the physical nature of the work. Depending on the delivery schedule, you may: Load your vehicle from Glossop (SK13) the afternoon before, allowing an earlier departure the following morning to arrive at the delivery location between approximately 8am and 10am. OR Load in the morning, normally between 5:30am and 7:30am, before travelling to the delivery location. Due to the distances involved, applicants must be comfortable with early starts and long working days. ?? MANUAL HANDLING This is a hands-on driving position and not simply a driving role. Drivers are required to assist with carrying kitchen units and appliances into the delivery location. Some items can be heavy and certain deliveries can be physically demanding. Fitters will be on site to assist and provide guidance, but applicants must be physically capable and comfortable with manual handling. ? REQUIREMENTS Valid Category C / Class 2 HGV licence Minimum 21 years of age for insurance purposes Minimum 2 years' Class 2 driving experience Valid Driver CPC Valid Digital Tachograph Card Comfortable with early starts and long working days Happy undertaking nationwide deliveries, including regular work in the South of England Physically capable of assisting with kitchen and appliance deliveries Reliable, professional and able to work effectively as part of a two-person crew ?? PAY & PERMANENT OPPORTUNITY £16.00 per hour The positions will initially be employed through F2 Recruitment on a 12-week temp-to-perm basis. Following successful completion of the 12-week period, you will transfer to a permanent position directly with the client. Permanent employees receive 25 days' holiday from January. The client also operates other areas of work, so alternative work may be available on days where there isn't a kitchen delivery scheduled. ??
