HGV Class 2 Driver Ad-hoc / Ongoing Work (Steel Distribution Deliveries)
Location: Farnworth
N F2 Recruitment are currently recruiting experienced Class 2 drivers for a long-established UK metal stockholder and distributor operating out of the Farnworth area. The role involves delivering a wide range of bespoke metal products, including steel and aluminium sections, to commercial customers.
This is clean, straightforward work with minimal to no handball, as goods are typically loaded and unloaded via forklift. The position is mainly ad-hoc, however there is potential for ongoing, regular work for reliable drivers. You will also be considered for other Class 2 opportunities through F2 Recruitment.
Typical shift pattern:
- Start time: 06:30am
- Finish: Around 16:00pm (depending on route)
- Approx. 10 drops per shift
- Mostly local routes, with occasional slightly longer-distance deliveries (all within reasonable reach of the depot)
Pay rates:
- £15.00 per hour
- £22.50 per hour after 8 hours
- Full PAYE only (no umbrella options)
Requirements:
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid CPC Card
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Minimum 12 months Class 2 driving experience (insurance requirement)
