F2 Recruitment, acting as an employment business, are recruiting a HGV Class 1 Driver for a well established distribution operation based in Rochdale. You will also gain your ADR (Hazardous Goods) Certificate after 6 months. This role follows a clear staged temp to perm structure.
Drivers will begin with a short assessment period of approximately two weeks. Once both the driver and the client agree to proceed, the role will move into the start of a 12 week temp to perm period.
Pay Structure (whilst on the Temp to Perm):
- £16.00 per hour
- £24.00 per hour after 8 hours
After successful completion of the 12 weeks, drivers will transfer onto the clients permanent salaried contract.
Permanent Package (After completion of 12 successful weeks):
- £39,378 per annum
- Paid monthly on the 25th
- Bonus scheme up to £3,000 per annum paid on top of salary
Role Overview:
- Class 1 work
- Multi drop deliveries and collections
- Palletised goods
- Box and curtain sided trailers
- Occasional 18T work
- Most of the work is FLT'd off at the delivery point, with some curb-side deliveries using the tail-lift and pump truck
- Modern vehicles
- Working out of the Rochdale depot
- Shifts: 5 days per week
- Start times between 06:00am and 08:00am
- Average 52.5 hours per week Monday to Friday
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 licence
- Driver CPC
- Digital tachograph card
- No more than 6 minor endorsements for insurance purposes
- There are no age restrictions with this position
- ADR desirable but not essential
