Formula 1 is the fastest growing sport in the world, attracting millions of new fans every year. As we continue our growth globally, we are looking for a Corporate Relations Manager to support the business in its global political and business engagement. The role will be London based, with the potential for travel.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Head of Corporate Relations to deliver an effective engagement programme with global politicians to promote Formula 1.
  • Develop and implement political engagement plans in the UK, Europe and key markets globally.
  • Manage the day-to-day relationship with our political agency to ensure they are delivering against key objectives.
  • Monitor political debates across the UK, EU, US and Asia, for topics relevant to Formula 1 and create briefing notes to be shared with senior leadership.
  • Manage a Corporate Relations Executive to ensure they are delivering against set objectives and KPIs.
  • Oversee master stakeholder matrix, ensuring updates are made accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Use network and experience to develop and maintain relationships with UK, European and global political offices.
  • Support engagement with politicians in race markets, where required, to enhance Formula 1’s relationships.
  • Work alongside the Formula 1 Press Office to deliver media to support political engagement where required.
  • Devise, plan and manage events in support of the Corporate Relations Strategy.
  • Support the wider F1 Press Office as required.

About You

  • Extensive experience working in an agency or within an in-house public affairs or corporate relations team.
  • Understanding of UK, European, US, and Asian political processes.
  • A proven track record of delivering meeting programmes with politicians.
  • Experience of working within a team to deliver meetings and ongoing engagement with politicians at backbench and Government level, as well as developing relationships with Special Advisors and other key contacts.
  • Confidence in engaging with political offices both over the phone and in person.
  • Experience in monitoring key debates and the process of legislation across multiple jurisdictions, including the UK, EU, and other global markets.
  • Excellent writing, editing and impeccable proofreading skills.
  • Strong speaking skills to speak on behalf of F1 to politicians, advisors, the F1 teams and to brief executives; you also need to possess the confidence to deal with senior executives and explain political engagement to them.
