We are currently working with a leading strategic communications firm who are currently looking to add an Associate Director to their Public Affairs team.
Already a cemented and established corporate advisory firm, they are going through a very exciting period of further growth with this role presenting the opportunity to help shape and define the future of their Public Affairs team. While the agency has been built on financial services, the team have expanded to doing work in a variety of other sectors including technology, energy, transport, among other areas.
The role itself would involve taking responsibilities away from the Head of Public Affairs and playing a key role in the development and the direction of the team.
Key responsibilities
- Working closely alongside the Head of Public Affairs to drive the direction and strategy of the team
- Managing and mentoring junior members of the Public Affairs team
- Acting as a strategic advisor on client accounts and defining strategy for junior members of the team
- Working on integrated briefs alongside the Corporate Communications team
- Identifying and exploring new business opportunities
- Continuing to develop and grow a cross party network of political stakeholders
The ideal candidate
- Experience working in a PR or Public Affairs agency/consultancy is essential
- Experience in any of the following sectors is highly desirable: Financial Services, Transport, Energy, Consumer Brands, Technology
- Strong political networker with an existing network
- Ambition to lead and help shape a team
- Strong knowledge and experience of the inner workings of parliament
