Are you a qualified Level 2 Vehicle Technician, Mechanic or MOT Tester looking for stable full-time work with excellent bonus potential? We are recruiting Vehicle Inspectors to join a leading automotive organisation carrying out pre-auction vehicle inspections in a professional workshop environment.
Locations & Shift Patterns:
- Blackbushe (various shifts including Monday to Friday or Off-Set)
- Manchester (Off-Set)
- Avonmouth (various shifts including Monday to Friday or 4 on 4 off)
- Paddock Wood (Monday to Friday)
- Enfield (Monday to Friday)
- Brighouse (Monday to Friday)

The Role:
You will complete 70-point vehicle inspections on a variety of vehicles before auction release. Inspection types include:
- Essential Checks
- Fast-turnaround inspections
- Blue Sticker Checks
- More detailed inspections with higher bonus earning potential
Every completed inspection increases your weekly productivity bonus. High-performing inspectors regularly earn £200+ bonus per week.
What You Need:
- NVQ Level 2 in Motor Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent
- Recent workshop, garage, dealership, roadside or fast-fit experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
- Good paperwork and administration skills
Licence Requirements:
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Maximum 6 points for minor offences only
- No CD, CU, DD, DR or TT endorsements
Pay:
First 12 Weeks £12.71 per hour
Average weekly earnings: £545
Equivalent annual salary: £28,300
After 12 Weeks: Productivity bonus paid per completed inspection
Average weekly earnings: £685
Equivalent annual salary: £35,600
Shift Patterns:
Some depots offer different shift patterns, as follows:
- Monday to Friday
- 4 on / 4 off
- Off-Set (either Wednesday to Sunday or Saturday to Wednesday)
Hours:
08:00 - 17:30
Average 42.75 hours per week
Overtime available during busy periods
Contract Status:
Initial 3-month temporary contract
Extension or permanent offer available after successful review
