Vehicle Recovery Controller

Introduction: We are an agency recruiting for a Vehicle Recovery Controller for a well-established, local Vehicle Recovery Operator. Job Title: Vehicle Recovery Controller Available Locations: Morley, Leeds Description: Working on the telephone, receiving calls from customers including Motoring Organisations, the Police, Highways agencies and the general public, prioritising jobs and dispatching resources to attend rescue and recovery incidents throughout West Yorkshire and surrounding areas. The control room operates 24/7 and the environment is fast-moving, busy and can be highly pressurised. Please Note: the hiring company has two large dogs onsite for security. They are friendly but we have a duty of care to notify applicants who have allergies or phobias. Experience managing the job from initial contact to completion. Prioritise workloads in a pressurised and fast-moving environment Superb telephone, administrative, organisational and IT skills Calm and professional approach Proven track record dealing with customers at all levels Ability to empathise and understand that there is never a good time to break down. Be prepared to muck in when required. .Some lone working is required, including at night. The office is locked and there is no public interaction outside of office hours. Emergency at Work First Aid course and Fire Marshal Training is required as part of role (training will be provided) Experience of the breakdown rotating between 07:00 - 19:00 and 19:00-07:00. Will include weekends and Bank Holiday working as part of the roster.
